Content

This is an authoritative, yet clear and accessible, step-by-step approach to the challenging clinical topic of arrhythmia and 12-lead EKG interpretation in Critical Care and Acute Care settings. Written by nurses for practicing nurses, nursing students, and nursing educators, the book helps to foster the breadth and depth of knowledge and mastery of competency that is essential to safely and effectively caring for critically ill patients across the lifespan, including the geriatric critical care patient.

With an emphasis on the nurse's role, detailed concepts of arrhythmia and 12-lead EKG interpretation are presented in an easy-to-follow format that contains the latest evidence-based information and practical tips. Bulleted points, learning objectives, concise key-point summaries for quick reference, a glossary, and learning activities to evaluate understanding of content, facilitate mastery of complex information. A case study in each chapter with reflection questions, clinical "pearls," references, and review questions help to reinforce learning. Useful digital features include cue cards summarizing practice concepts and brief "how-to" videos. The book also features a dedicated chapter on critical care pharmacology as it relates to the cardiac patient, and a chapter on international perspectives in critical care.

Book condition
An important factor of a second-hand book is the condition of the book. The buyer may not be surprised. Always mention damages or defects. We use a system with 3 stars:
The book is acceptable: you have used it to study and made notes and markings – but everything is still readable. The cover and pages are in good condition.
The book still looks good: there are a few notes in it and you marked it. There are hardly any signs of use on the cover and pages.
The book is (almost) new: you have not written or marked in it. There are no signs of use on the cover and pages.
