Sandra Goldsworthy, RN, MSc, PhD(c) CNCC(C) CMSN (C), is Professor, Durham College/UOIT BScN program and the coordinator of the Critical Care E learning program at Durham College (the largest critical care nursing program in Canada). She is currently pursuing her PhD in Nursing at the University of British Columbia, USA. Ms. Goldworthy holds a national CNA credential in Critical Care as well as Medical Surgical Nursing. Her research focus is retention of Critical Care nurses. Ms. Goldsworthy has conducted and published research involving the use of simulation and PDAs in nursing education. She is currently involved in the delivery of critical care simulation and the mentoring of other educators in this technology. Her recent publications and national and international presentations have concentrated on critical care and technology in nursing. Sandra also sits on the national exam committee for the new CNA Medical/Surgical Nursing Certification exam and is the Co-editor of all three editions of Medical Surgical Nursing In Canada. She Co-authored Simulation Simplified: A Practical Guide For Nurse Educators (2012) and Simulation Simplified: Student Lab Manual For Critical Care Nursing.
Leslie Graham, RN, BScN, MN, CNCC, is Professor, Durham College's Critical Care Nursing E-Learning Graduate Certificate program and the BSN program in collaboration with the University of Ontario Institute of Technology. She is also the Simulation Coordinator in this program, working with the integration of simulation across the entire BScN curriculum. She co-authored Simulation Simplified: A Practical Guide For Critical Care Nurse Educators (2012) and has contributed to Medical-Surgical Nursing in Canada, 3E, as well as journal articles in International Cath Lab Spotlight. Ms. Graham has presented her research (on simulation and its importance in teaching critical care) at domestic as well as international conferences, including the NTI/AACN Conference, the World Federation of Critical Care Nurses, the American Association of Colleges of Nursing, and the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning (INACSL).
