Content
This book is a practical and comprehensive text on fracture fixation in children using intramedullary pins. The original technique initiated in 1977 follows a simple principle of transverse and longitudinal fixation in which two bowed opposed pins are inserted from the metaphysis and elastically fill the bone cavity. The strong mechanical stability provided allows an early return to full activity and weight-bearing. The volume explains the biology, mechanical principles, and rules for conducting the surgery for this technique. Long bone fractures are then looked at individually along with specific indications. Both the experienced and the novice surgeon are given guidance that allows operative treatment of virtually any type of long bone fracture in children. CONTENTS Fracture in Children: Biology of fracture healing in children - The ESIN place.- Mechanical principles of remodelling of fracture healing in children.- Fracture treatment in children. Book condition
An important factor of a second-hand book is the condition of the book. The buyer may not be surprised. Always mention damages or defects. We use a system with 3 stars:
The book is acceptable: you have used it to study and made notes and markings – but everything is still readable. The cover and pages are in good condition.
The book still looks good: there are a few notes in it and you marked it. There are hardly any signs of use on the cover and pages
The book is (almost) new: you have not written or marked in it. There are no signs of use on the cover and pages
