Clinical applications in airway management are dependent on both the anatomy of the individual, and the individual's co-morbidities, with different tools available for different patient presentations. The first edition of this atlas presented the most commonly used tools via clinical photos, and demonstrated proper and improper positioning with photos utilizing cross-sectional cadaver anatomy so the relevant anatomy in relation to the equipment could be clearly seen. The second edition presents an improved and enlarged text. New sections have been created on pediatric applications, bronchoscopy, special airway considerations in the emergency room and the ICU, and post-intubation care issues. There are also new chapters on airway management for patients with obstructive sleep apnea and morbid obesity, as well as a new chapter on airway issues for gynecologic patients. A new section exists for surgical situations requiring specialized airway management. The second edition comes with a website that includes instructional videos and the fully searchable contents of the book. Main Features: •NEW! Improved and enlarged illustration program, lavishly illustrated with color photographs and drawings •NEW! Paul Bigeleisen added as a co-editor. •NEW! Specific clinical airway problems and the decision-making process to resolve them have been added •NEW! The Glidescope and other video-type laryngoscopes have been added •NEW! Website includes videos of airway procedures •Clinical orientation with little theory •Step-by-step "how-to" approach •Tools and techniques cover those used in anesthesiology, critical care, pediatric critical care, and emergency medicine Orebaugh, Steven L.; Bigeleisen, Paul E.

Book condition
An important factor of a second-hand book is the condition of the book. The buyer may not be surprised. Always mention damages or defects. We use a system with 3 stars:
The book is acceptable: you have used it to study and made notes and markings – but everything is still readable. The cover and pages are in good condition.
The book still looks good: there are a few notes in it and you marked it. There are hardly any signs of use on the cover and pages
The book is (almost) new: you have not written or marked in it. There are no signs of use on the cover and pages
